Steel Fabrication and Folding

Custom fabrication and CNC folding across mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and galvanised steel. From single brackets to full production runs at our Campbellfield facility.

Service Overview

Aussie Rebar provides professional steel fabrication and folding services for builders, engineers, fabricators, and manufacturing businesses across Melbourne. Our CNC press brake equipment produces precise bends and folds in mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and galvanised steel sheet and plate. We work from your drawings, CAD files, or sample pieces to manufacture structural components, brackets, frames, plates, and custom assemblies to exact specifications.

Our fabrication capabilities cover the full process from flat sheet to finished component. We handle shearing, folding, drilling, notching, welding, and assembly under one roof at our Campbellfield factory. This means your parts move through each stage without leaving our facility, reducing lead times, eliminating transport between separate workshops, and giving us full control over quality at every step of the process.

Why Choose us

Why Choose Aussie Rebar for Steel Fabrication and Folding?

We combine CNC folding technology with hands on fabrication experience to deliver components that fit first time, every time.

CNC Press Brake Folding

Programmable back gauge and angle control ensures every fold is accurate and repeatable across single units and large production batches.

Four Material Types

We fabricate mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and galvanised steel, giving you a single supplier for mixed material projects.

Full In House Processing

Shearing, folding, drilling, notching, welding, and assembly all happen under one roof at our Campbellfield factory. No outsourcing, no delays.

Work From Your Drawings

We accept PDF, DXF, DWG, hand sketches, and even physical sample pieces. If you can describe it or draw it, we can build it.

Structural Components

We fabricate load bearing brackets, base plates, gusset plates, cleats, and connection details designed to meet your engineer's specifications.

Custom Enclosures and Frames

Box frames, equipment housings, duct covers, and custom steel enclosures manufactured and welded to your exact dimensions.

Pre Drilled Bolt Patterns

Bolt holes, slots, and fixing points are drilled or punched before delivery so your components arrive ready for immediate installation on site.

Consistent Quality

Every component is checked against your drawings before it leaves our workshop. We do not release parts that fall outside the specified tolerances.

Any Batch Size

One off prototypes, short run batches of 50, or production runs of 5,000 plus. We handle every order size with the same attention to accuracy.

How it works

How Do You Order Steel Fabrication From Aussie Rebar?

A clear 4 step process from your initial enquiry to finished components delivered to your site.

Project Consultation
Step 1: Submit Your Drawings or Specifications

Email your fabrication drawings, CAD files, sketches, or photos of sample pieces to info@aussierebar.com. Include the material type, thickness, finish requirements, and quantities. If you are unsure about material selection, our team can recommend the best option for your application.

Step 2: Review and Approve the Quote

We assess your drawings, confirm material availability, and calculate processing time. You receive a written quote covering material costs, fabrication charges, and delivery within 24 hours. Once approved, your job is locked into our production schedule.

Step 3: Fabrication and Assembly

Your components are sheared, folded, drilled, and assembled according to your specifications. Our CNC press brake is programmed from your file to ensure accuracy across every piece. Multi stage components move through each process in sequence without leaving our facility.

Step 4: Final Inspection and Delivery

Finished components are dimensionally checked against your drawings. Parts are labelled, packaged, and protected for transport. We deliver to your site across Melbourne and regional Victoria, or you can arrange pickup from our Campbellfield factory.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Steel Fabrication and Folding

Common questions from builders, engineers, and fabricators about our fabrication services.

We work with four material types. Mild steel is our most commonly processed material, available in sheet and plate from 1 mm to 12 mm thickness. We also fabricate stainless steel for commercial kitchens, food processing, and architectural applications. Aluminium is available for lightweight structural work, and galvanised steel for outdoor and corrosion resistant assemblies.

Our CNC press brake handles mild steel up to 12 mm thickness depending on the fold length and bend angle. Stainless steel and aluminium capacities vary by grade and temper. Contact us with your specific material and thickness and we will confirm whether it falls within our equipment range.

Yes. Many of our clients send hand drawn sketches with dimensions, or photos of existing parts that need to be replicated. Our team converts these into production drawings and confirms all dimensions with you before manufacturing begins. CAD files are preferred for complex parts but are not required.

Standard fabrication orders are completed within 3 to 7 business days depending on complexity, material availability, and current production volume. Simple folding jobs such as brackets and plates are typically at the shorter end of that range. We confirm the expected completion date at the quoting stage.

We provide both folding and welding services. If your project requires welded assemblies such as frames, enclosures, or multi piece structures, we handle the full process from cutting and folding through to welding, grinding, and finishing. Let us know your assembly requirements when submitting your enquiry.
