Service Overview
Aussie Rebar provides production cutting services for a wide range of structural steel sections and hollow profiles. We cut rectangular hollow sections (RHS), square hollow sections (SHS), angles, round pipes, and tubes to your specified lengths using specialised sawing and cutting equipment. Every cut is measured and executed to maintain clean, square ends with consistent dimensional accuracy across the full batch.
Our production cutting service is designed for efficiency at any scale. Whether you need a handful of pieces for a small fabrication job or thousands of identical lengths for a large construction project, we maintain the same standard of accuracy and finish quality throughout. Why Choose us
Why Choose Aussie Rebar for Production Cutting?
Our cutting operation is built around speed, accuracy, and the ability to handle jobs of any size without compromising on quality.
We cut RHS, SHS, angles, pipes, tubes, flat bar, and solid round bar across the full range of standard Australian sizes.
Both 90 degree straight cuts and angled mitre cuts are available for welded frame joints, bracing connections, and structural assemblies.
Multiple sections are clamped and cut simultaneously for high volume orders, reducing processing time and keeping unit costs low.
Our cutting equipment is calibrated and maintained to deliver repeatable lengths across every piece in your order, whether it is 10 pieces or 10,000.
From a single custom length for a repair job to a full production run for a commercial project, we process orders of all sizes without minimum quantity restrictions.
Every cut produces clean, square ends free from excessive burr or deformation, reducing preparation time before welding or assembly.
We can supply the steel sections from our stock or source specific grades and sizes on your behalf, providing a single point of contact for material and processing.
Standard production cutting orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days depending on section availability and order volume.
All cutting is performed at our Campbellfield facility with delivery available across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
How it works
How Do You Order Production Cutting From Aussie Rebar?
Four simple steps from your cut list to finished sections ready for pickup or delivery.
Step 1: Send Us Your Cut List
Email your list of section types, sizes, lengths, quantities, and cut angles to info@aussierebar.com. Let us know if you need us to supply the steel or if you will be providing your own material for processing.
Step 2: Receive Your Quote
We check section availability, calculate processing requirements, and return a detailed quote within 24 hours. The quote covers material costs if applicable, cutting charges per piece, and delivery or pickup options.
Step 3: Cutting and Processing
Once confirmed, your order enters our production schedule. Sections are measured, clamped, and cut to your specified lengths. Bundle cutting is used where applicable to maximise efficiency on larger orders.
Step 4: Quality Check and Dispatch
Every batch is checked against your cut list for correct lengths and quantities before packaging. Sections are bundled, strapped, and prepared for safe transport to your site or workshop.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Production Cutting
Answers to the questions we hear most often from fabricators, builders, and steel workers.
We cut rectangular hollow sections (RHS), square hollow sections (SHS), equal and unequal angles, round pipes, round tubes, flat bar, and solid round bar. If you have a specific section type not listed here, contact us and we will confirm whether our equipment can handle it.
Yes. We cut mitres at any angle you specify. This is commonly used for gate frames, handrail joints, structural bracing connections, and architectural steelwork where neat welded corners are required. Include the mitre angle on your cut list when submitting your enquiry.
Both options are available. We stock a range of common section sizes and can supply material as part of your order. Alternatively, you can deliver your own steel to our Campbellfield factory and we will process it to your specifications. Let us know your preference when requesting a quote.
Most orders are completed within 2 to 5 business days from confirmation. Turnaround depends on order volume and whether we need to source specific section sizes. We confirm the expected completion date when you approve your quote.
No. We process single piece orders through to large batch production without a minimum quantity requirement. Pricing is calculated per cut, so smaller orders are still cost effective for fabrication shops and tradespeople who need a few pieces cut accurately.
